Hello, and welcome to Mountain Home Junior High School. It is my pleasure to be the principal. This is my 20th year in education with 10 of those coming as a building principal. . One of the many things I am looking forward to this year is getting to see some of the students who I knew at the elementary level beginning when they were in kindergarten. My passion is to develop strong relationships with students from all backgrounds. I am a firm believer in communicating expectations and then holding students accountable. I believe that each student can and will rise to the occasion if they know what is expected. I absolutely enjoy working with some of the best kids in Idaho.  I want to thank all the parents and family members of MHJH Tiger students for trusting me and my staff to take care of their students. Together, I believe that we can make the junior high experience a positive one for everyone.

Welcome to Mountain Home Junior High! This is my first year at MHJH and my sixth year in the Mountain Home School District. However I've been a part of the Mountain Home School District and our community for a lot longer than six years! I'm a proud MHHS Alumni from the class of 2001! Go Tigers! I grew up in Mountain Home and my family chose to return here when my husband was ready for retirement from the military. I feel so blessed and grateful to be able to serve the community that helped shape who I am today. 

I'm excited to meet all of our Junior High students and families. I'm passionate about our school culture, special education, and building an expectation of kindness and respect within our school and community. I believe that students achieve more when they have a support system that consists of their parents/guardians and school staff working together. With this belief you will find that I love to work closely with families to find what works best for your student to be successful at our school. I have a special understanding of the military life as both a parent and a child. I grew up a military child and moved around quite a bit before my own father chose Mountain Home as his place of retirement. I know the challenges of moving from school to school that many of our students have, and I understand the support needed for parents of those students as well. 

I have an open door policy for students, staff, and families. Communication is essential to being successful! I want our students to feel supported, our families to feel heard, and our staff to feel empowered. You will find that we have an amazing staff at our school who absolutely care about your student as a person, about their education, and about our community!
